Tata Electronics has confirmed a cyberattack on its IT infrastructure that led to the theft and public leak of more than 200,000 files totaling roughly 630 GB of sensitive manufacturing data for Apple products.
According to public reporting, the incident occurred a few weeks before the company’s official statement on June 23, 2026. The ransomware group WorldLeaks, which rebranded from Hunters International, published internal component schematics, PCB designs, material specifications, and SDK files. Tata Electronics stated that its core operations remained unaffected and has not disclosed how many individuals or customer records, if any, were involved. Available reporting describes the exposed information as focused on manufacturing processes rather than direct consumer personal data, though the scale of the leak has raised concerns about downstream risks.
