Key steps to lock down Telegram in 2026

Settings → Privacy and Security.
Set Who can see my phone number to Nobody.
Set Last seen & online to Nobody.
Use Secret chats with self-destruct timers for sensitive conversations.
Turn on Two-step verification with a strong password.
Enable Passcode lock on the app itself.
Set Who can add me to groups to My Contacts only.
Disable Suggest contacts.
